Renting out your home or a room can provide valuable extra income, whether you’re letting to students, long-term tenants, or short-term holiday guests through platforms such as Airbnb or Booking.com. One of the biggest questions is always what to do with your own belongings. That’s where self storage comes in.
Keep personal items safe
You may have clothing, books, documents or valuables you’d prefer to keep out of reach of tenants and guests. Placing them in a secure storage unit ensures they stay clean, dry and protected while you rent out your space.
Create space for guests
Guests expect a comfortable, clutter-free environment with space to store their own belongings. Too many personal effects can make your property feel untidy and may lead to poor reviews. By moving excess items into self storage, you’ll create a welcoming, homely atmosphere while keeping your possessions safe.
Flexible storage for landlords and hosts
- Short-term storage – perfect for Airbnb and Booking.com hosts who need space only for the duration of a booking.
- Long-term storage – ideal if you rent to students or long-term tenants and want to free up spare rooms or safeguard personal items.
- Furniture storage – store surplus furniture if tenants want to use their own, or to avoid damage to yours.
- Archive storage – keep documents and files securely out of reach.
